Standing all day

For people on their feet from the start of a shift to the end: concrete floors, assembly stations, counters. Your therapist looks at your feet, knees, hips and low back as one chain.

This care is for you if

  • Your feet, knees or low back ache by the end of a standing shift

  • You shift your weight all day to get comfortable

  • Stairs and ladders have become something you plan around

  • You want to keep working without your legs giving out

How a standing visit goes

  • What we do

Your therapist watches you stand, walk and squat, tests the strength and motion of your feet, knees and hips, and teaches exercises you can do on a break.

  • What decides how many visits

What your therapist finds, how long your shift keeps you on your feet and how your body responds. We talk it through with you at each step.

  • Who treats you

A physical therapist plans and leads your care, and every therapist here is licensed in Ohio. Your first visit is about an hour.

    Meet the team
  • How it is paid for

Through your health plan, a workers' compensation claim, auto injury coverage or by paying yourself. We explain which applies before your first visit.

    How fees work
  • Chest pain, trouble breathing, a sudden severe headache or pain, new weakness or numbness, loss of bladder or bowel control, or a fall with a head injury needs emergency care now. Call 911.

Questions about standing work

Do I need special shoes or inserts?

Your therapist looks at your shoes and how you stand at your first visit and tells you whether a change would help. They do not sell you anything.

What should I do on breaks?

Your therapist gives you a few short movements for your shift, chosen for your job and your body.

Book a standing visit

Tell your therapist how long you stand and on what surface when you come in. We do not ask for it in the form.
