Driving and sitting
For drivers, forklift operators and desk workers. Hours in one seat stiffen the low back, hips and neck. Your therapist plans movements and breaks you can use in a cab or at a station.
This care is for you if
Your back is stiff when you climb down from the cab or stand up from your desk
Your hip or leg aches after a long drive or a long meeting
Your neck is sore from checking mirrors and screens
You sit more than you move, and it is catching up with you

How a seated-work visit goes
What we do
Your therapist looks at how you sit and get out of your seat, tests your back, hips and neck, and teaches movements you can do in a cab, on a forklift or at a desk.
What decides how many visits
What your therapist finds, how many hours you sit and how your body responds. We talk it through with you at each step.
Who treats you
A physical therapist plans and leads your care, and every therapist here is licensed in Ohio. Your first visit is about an hour.
Meet the teamHow it is paid for
Through your health plan, a workers' compensation claim, auto injury coverage or by paying yourself. We explain which applies before your first visit.
How fees work
- Chest pain, trouble breathing, a sudden severe headache or pain, new weakness or numbness, loss of bladder or bowel control, or a fall with a head injury needs emergency care now. Call 911.
Questions about driving and sitting
Will a better seat be enough?
A seat set-up can help, and your therapist can suggest changes. Most people also need movement through the day. We plan both with you.
I drive a route. When can I come in?
Ask for an early or a late visit when you call. Our hours are on the locations page.
Book your first visit
Tell your therapist what you drive or operate when you come in. We do not ask for it in the form.
