Getting back to work
For people returning after an injury, surgery or time off. Your therapist plans a gradual return with you, builds your exercise around the tasks of your job and sends your employer the work notes they ask for, with your permission.
This care is for you if
You are coming back from an injury, surgery or time off
Your employer asked for restrictions or a work note
You are on light duty and want a plan for full duty
You want to know what you can do on the job again

How a return-to-work visit goes
What we do
Your therapist asks what your job requires, tests what you can do now and builds your exercise toward those tasks. With your written permission, we send your employer the work notes they ask for.
What decides how many visits
What your therapist finds, what your job requires and how you respond as the tasks get heavier. Your doctor or your claim may set limits, and your therapist works within them.
Who treats you
A physical therapist plans and leads your care, and every therapist here is licensed in Ohio. Your first visit is about an hour.
Meet the teamHow it is paid for
Through your health plan, a workers' compensation claim, auto injury coverage or by paying yourself. We explain which applies before your first visit.
How fees work
- Chest pain, trouble breathing, a sudden severe headache or pain, new weakness or numbness, loss of bladder or bowel control, or a fall with a head injury needs emergency care now. Call 911.
Questions about returning to work
Do you talk to my employer?
Only with your written permission, and only about what your claim or your employer needs, such as work status and restrictions. Your other health information stays private.
Does a work injury claim change how I start?
You may need a referral or an approval first. Tell us who your adjuster is. Your state decides who may direct your care.
