Your first visit

What happens, step by step

About an hour with a physical therapist. You can come before or after your shift.

  1. 01

    Step 1: Check in

Give the front desk your plan card, or your claim details if you were hurt at work. You can fill in forms on our portal ahead of time.

  2. 02

Step 2: Talk about your job

Your therapist asks what a normal shift looks like: what you lift, where you stand and how long you drive.

  3. 03

    Step 3: Your exam

Your therapist watches you move, tests your strength and motion and explains what they find.

  4. 04

    Step 4: Your plan

You agree on a plan together and start your first exercises. You leave knowing what to do before the next visit.

What to wear and bring

  • Wear

What you wear to work, or clothes you can move in, and closed-toe shoes.

  • Bring

Your plan card, a photo ID and any paperwork from your doctor or employer. If you were hurt at work, bring your claim details.

  • Tell us

What your job asks of you. Gloves, boots, a harness or a tool can come along if they help show what you do.

What is not decided on day one

You do not have to decide how many visits you will come for, or when you will go back to full duty. Your therapist explains the choices and the risks, and you decide together.

Your therapist and the front desk will cover

  • Whether you need to see a physician first for imaging or another check

  • What your plan or claim will pay, which the front desk confirms with you

  • When to book your next visit, before or after your shift
